I take that bumper sticker as, "a sign of the times".

Its a beautiful example of "the lateness of the hour".

Whenever I see one, I think of how the bible says that in the last days, how people will grow worse and worse, and people will grow ever increasingly rebellious.

It seems to be everyones attitude nowdays. I dont think its healthy at all. We all want to be discerning and keep a "watchdog" check on Government. But lets face it, most folks just take the attitude that "nobody can tell ME what to do".

Liberty has become License. Because in too many peoples hearts, "self" has become God.

(If you stop to think about it, Adam and Eve wore the first "Question Authority" bumper sticker 'in their hearts')

It means that I should ram my car into the vehicle that has that bumper sticker!!!

Well, I would say that the authority that needs to be questioned most is an elected official... Secondly, anyone in authority that asks you for more money... Thirdly, anyone who calls themselves a Christian and tries to get you to give...

For example, I like to examine the voting record of any elected official... I look at it and if the votes are at the very least 60% of what I'd vote given the information available. I'd call that a recommendation to re elect. If they fall below the 60% and/or their attendance for voting was low. I believe he/she is not showing up for work and therefore has something else they are interested in other than the task that I elected them.

I question Government. I really do not think they are "For The People" as they say they are
As far as the bumper sticker, I am prone to believe it is for the younger generation and means "Push The Limits"---don't know if that is a good or bad thing, though.

This is what I told my son to do. When he hears anything off, he is supposed to ask me or his mother first - then ask for proof and politely confront the wrong person, as well as a 12 year old can. Adults are 100% correct - and need to be tested. Politicians are always wrong and need watching. Religious leaders and anyone in power need watching. The newspapers used to do this, so it's up to individuals. I leave the room, or write their name as people to avoid.
Anyone over 30 still needs to be tested and watched. Same as it always was. Old bald white men need less power and more honest concern about this world. It such a joke that WaMu bank only has OBW guys confronted by a lone logical black man in their commericals.
Why do you think Oprah rules the USA? She actually does what Washington is supposed to do.
Look at group pictures and count races - if it's $$$ most likely it's all male and mostly white. Not much proof it's 2007. Oh, remember the year of the woman? How could that fizzle - when they out number men in USA?
This concludes my rant.
I need water (yes I was ranting out loud. lol)
Keep questioning authority. POLITELY, be polite.

When they first came out with that bumper sticker it was a cute saying, but over the years, in my mind it has sounded the death knell for respect and honor of elders and civil authorities everywhere, it was the beginning of the loss of the virtue of obediance.

It was a sign of the times, as cult leaders and presidents let us down, but also and undermining of our system of government that has almost utterly destroyed the civility and respect that we used to have for our leaders. The news media, lead the way in this smashing all our icons of anyone that we respected and honored. Now the presidency has not respect, the police, the fireman(barely) even respect is lacking for ambulance crews and EMT's.

The false "authority of vice' and power unchecked by informed conscience and the needs, duties and rights of others, especially the powerless, are the authorities most in need of being questioned.
Also the "authority"of selfishness, greed and arrogance needs to be confronted.

It means everything is not as it seems on the surface. Everything is controlled from the top down. Question government and church authority.

To mean it means, question and challenge those in power. Such as the government, either local or federal. But also anyone who has more power for whatever reason, and question and challenge their decisions.
