Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings that are renowned for subsisting on human blood or lifeforce, but in some cases may prey on animals. Although vampires have different characteristics depending on which lore one reads, in most cases, they are described as reanimated corpses who feed by draining and consuming the blood of living beings.

A vampire is a parasitic creature that subsides on the blood or life force of others. They are not sexy, Gothic beings as depicted by Hollywood. They do not have extraordinary powers and they do not live forever. That vampire is invented by Hollywood and is a... Myth.
The wannabe vampire emulates the Hollywood lifestyle but is a fake. He/she may even consume human blood at great risk of contracting a blood borne pathogen rather than prolonging life indefinately. So there you have it.
Best.
