God, or your children?

I have heard it said that we need to love God more than our children. I actually believe that is true, even though I am not a religious person. However, I absolutely love my children far more than I love God. I believe in God but, God is still very much a "concept" for me. My children are the most precious thing in my world and I love them completely. I don't have any doubts about my love for my children and I don't have any arguments with myself or with anyone else about my lvoe for my children or what the purpose of their existence is. I only know that I love them completely. Clearly (I think) it would be fantastic if I could feel that certain about God but, I don't.

This is a very thought provoking question. If a person was to answer they love their kids,then people would think they're ant-God or something. But, on the other hand, if one was to answer that they love their kids more, they seem very selfish. Now, where does one go with this? It all depends on if a person lives by their own beliefs or what others belive of them. Personally, I live by what I belive of myself, not of what others believe of me. I believe God, in whatever form he/she exists, will love/care for me no matter what I do, therefore, I must care for my children while I am here, there is no one else to physically care for them here.

GOD I was in a car accident in '94 I was in a coma for 6 months, the doctors said I wouldn't make but if I did I would have esvere problems. And now 13 years later I'm walking talking & I'm as healthy as ever.
