Can't they design a birth control pill to temporarily reduce or eliminate sperm counts?

Although I can no longer have children it irritates me that birth control must be the women's responsibility! If the man doesn't want kids, it seems like the man should be the one to take the pill!!

Not every man will wear a condom, especially if they are married.

they are working on it. quite hard. the problem is the only hormone they really have to use in men is testosterone, and that's not easy or practical. you see, testosterone is in charge of way too much. if you mess with it, you will have "package"shrinkage, grow man boobs, have anger control issues, get sobby, and have absolutely no sex drive, which would really defeat the purpose.....and thats really only the cosmetic issues. and birth control can be a mans responsibility. it's called a condom. its quite simple.

It has been worked on since female contraceptives came out in the 60s. Unfortunately, current research and development strided only enough to make contraception that has a refractory period of three months... that is you will stop producing sperm at your full potential for that time.

Female- 1 egg (generally).
Male- Several billion "eggs."

Which would you target?

Would you want to trust a male with contraception? Not male bashing here but many men will say ANYTHING to get a woman into bed!!!!

It's the nature of the beast...lol (and let's be honest...would we want it any other way?)

They are actually working on it. I think they may actually have made it already and testing it. It takes several years to make and test the drugs before it can go in front of the FDA.
