Hasn't everyone? And I have made amends, apologies and maintained the relationship. A great lesson was learned.

Certainly... I am not proud of it - in fact it shames me greatly, but no one is perfect and at some point in my life - jealousy, refusal to see through open eyes or just plain stubbornness has caused me to place blame where none existed. Most of the time it was blaming someone other than myself because I lacked the courage to face the truth. I hope and pray that I have at some point admitted to each mistake and have made a very concerted effort to make it right. Even now I hear myself patting myself on the back - I'm quite human and always will be. I will always mess up - and I pray I am strong enough to place blame where it truly belongs - or - even better - not place blame at all.

God bless

I have mostly believed that it was because at the times my relationships failed, I lacked the capacity for something that the other person was looking for. And that they had assumed that I had had it. So rightly or wrongly, I guess I've blamed myself for all my failures in love. Perhaps I should bring this up with my therapist next week? Maybe I'm being too self critical?

Nope. I've been blamed for doing something I didn't do! I didn't care though. I knew that I was in the right, and if the person believed me, they believed me. If not, it's not my problem.

no. I have suspected the wrong person but I generally try not to accuse anyone until I have the right person.

Sure... everyone makes mistakes. You just have to apologize and hope to repair any damage that was done. I'm sure they have made the same mistake sometime in their life.

Yea and then I felt horrible.
I made it up to the person and then together we found out the actual person.
