There is no real answer to this. As the saying goes, it's better to have loved and lost, cause love is great. So it's better to have experienced it than not. You could say the same about anything good. However, if you loved someone so much that losing them causes you to be miserable the rest of you life, or even kill yourself, then love isn't so good. So, I would say normally it's better to have loved and lost, as long as you can handle the aftermath.

Its better to have loved and lost. I recently found out what that feels like...when my ex broke my heart, I wished I'd never met him, I was in so much pain. But now that I think about I'm glad that I loved and lost, instead of having never loved at all.

I believe it is much better to have experienced love and then lost it than to go through life and never have experienced love at all. I think that would be very sad, indeed to never have the joy of loving another person.

this is hard
if you never loved, then you never really know what ur missing
but if you lose the person you love, you will be sad and stuff
i still think i would rather have loved tho
it would be a lonely life to never love, and especially to never be loved

I would rather have loved than not having loved at all. The experience of loving, i dont want to miss, inspite of knowing the consequence that love does hurt when the other person leaves you.

I would much rather have loved....in my eyes....i find it impossible to live a happy life w/o love....see if you dont know or have love....how would you have family, friends, or that special someone. And if i loved someone and they die..of course it will hurt but i will always cherish the time i spent w/ them. If they stop loving me and leave me.....i will feel sorry for him for missing out on something that could have been real.
