We haven't learned this yet and our textbooks don't explain it. But yet, this is on our hw. And I can't find how to do this on google. HELP!!!!! Thanks for any info!!!

first off, you should slap your teacher for giving you this problem which he/she didn't discuss

you should get the direction numbers so you can write the symmetric equation of the line. im assuming that its a line.

But are you finding the equation of a line or of a plane
or what? Why don't you give us a specific problem?

let's assume the line joins 2 points
P1(x1,y1,z1) and P2(x2,y2,z2)

The equation of the line in standard
(x-x1)/(x2-x1) = (y-y1)/(y2-y1) = (z-z1)/(z2-z1)
