Use a SALINE nasal spray to wash the allergens out of your nasal passages. Not Afrin. Take Benadryl at night before bedtime - it opens you up and will also help you sleep really well and will carry over into the next day. Don't take it during the day because it makes you too sleepy.

I have hundreds of allergies, but I don't take anything except antihistamine when I start breaking out. I keep stocked up on Kleenex with aloe and vitamin E, as well as jars of Vicks VapoRub to help with stopped-up nose and dry eyes. Generally, I try to avoid triggers.

I also have asthma and reduced lung capacity, plus a host of other illnesses. So, if I used medications, I probably couldn't afford a home and food.

It depends on what kind of allergies you have since some can bring violent reactions, such as I had once when my mom changed laundry detergent. I ended up in the Emergency Room! Some medications might be necessary.

Everyone is advising antihistamines, but they can dry out the nasal passages, causing even more problems, which is why I use them sparingly. Beware OTC decongestents!

Everybody has some kind of allergy but depends on how their body react to the allergen. Overtime, they may get immuned to the thing that they are allergy to, so they don't even know what they are allergy to. If you have an allergy, and it really affect your daily activity, you need to see a doctor. It is important to know what you are allergy to and by all means avoid those thing that triggers the allergy. Some allergy may be fatal... that can lead to cardiac arrest !! No joke, so if you have an allergy...SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

Hi Sage. Think mine is more sinus problem than allergies. I take Tylenol Sinus x-strength. Works very well for those stubborn headaches. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Sage...
I have hay fever... ggrrr... in the fall through the whole winter season, no meds seem to help :)
It can be so frustrating... especially when I'm in Church, or the store etc. I feel like I just wanna go to my bed and do absolutely nothing at all... feeling miserable right now.
peace♥
