Absolutely.

Very little exists in Nature that is known but it's purpose is not understood.

Color absolutely defies any explanation of purpose.

It would make absolutely no difference to a tree if the leaves stayed the same color and just fell. It doesn't matter when they fall if they are brown or red. It isn't for camoflage, that's for certain.

Moreover, many species (even besides plants) are blind, and many that are not are color blind. Some of the most brightly colored fish exist at depths where light won't penetrate. There's simply no purpose to color, other than to be enjoyed.

Color is a very strong argument for the existence of God.

Yes, I do believe in God. I'm not always good at doing what He says, but I trust & hope & pray, & try to do good.

Yes, however the idea seems unfathomable. I also believe that we're not really supposed to understand it until we get where we're going.
