OMG that's awful. I hope it won't detour you from being sweet, some of us DO appreciate it.
Although I am sure we all have our amount of bad moments...
I think my rudest moment (at least that comes to mind now) is when working for a meat market, my boss knocked a trim knife off his saw. I bent down to pick it up as I was right there and he'd of had to walked around his saw.....
He snatched it away from me and said "Don't you think I can get it myself??" and threw it back on the floor!
eek! I was only trying to be courteous???
A second occurance that comes to mind for extreme rudeness is....
I was once in a VERY PRETIGOUS neighborhood visiting realitives. As I stood out front, a woman walking her dog passed. I bent to say hello to the little fellow and she pulled her dog away from me as if I might contaminate it by petting it!!!! It was the look along with the action. I am well groomed, and hardly a threat??????

Yes, I live in the country and find that city slickers are the rudest bloody pricks I've EVER met. They don't hold the door open for you, they cut you off when you walk, they wave their fists when you nearly ram them due to poor driving skills. The rudest encounter I ever had with a person was when I was on a steam train and a lady asked me if I would move from the window seat so her two small children could 'look at the choo choo'. I kindly allowed them to sit there whereupon the bi*tch closed the window, turned her children so that they were facing the inside of the carriage and gave them both chupa chups. I was so damn angry.

Yeah I hate rude people. I used to work in a drive thru. I honestly wanted to kill myself instead of going to work. Then I worked on my college campus. Those people sure were happy. Given they were forking out hundreds of dollars for books but I didn't set the prices and I had to pay the same prices so getting snapped at for them got old real quick.

Here's what I do. I become even more polite and cheerful..and loud.
"Why no PROBLEM at all MA'AM. It was my PLEASURE to hold the door for YOU. Don't worry about my foot, it will heal eventually. I hope you have SUCH a pleasant day!"
9 times out of 10..they get the point and change their tune if you 'kill them with kindness.' However, if they continue to get rude...well..that might be a different story. BUT...I am always polite to begin with, it doesn't take any effort to be so. So even when those types get you down..forget about them. Don't stoop to their level, and keep being yourself.
:)

What I want to know is why when I am at a counter waiting
to be waited on, and a man comes to the counter, the
ladies are all alert?? What am I chopped liver?? It is so
annoying. When that happens, I just remind them that I
was there waiting for them to stop their chit chat and wait
on me. And, they are going to wait on me first or their
manager will be told. Rude?? You bet it's rude!!

college secretaries are a effective rigidity. a college can function without the significant being recent for the day; yet, while the school secretary is absent, pandemonium will ensue! the only recourse on your dissatisfaction with this secretary is to get a minimum of 20 different scholars and their mothers and dads to record a suited criticism by contrast secretary with the school board.

I used to work at a grocery store, and this fat lady in a little rascal, drove next to me while i was putting bacon in a meat case. I was on my knees, and I had one of my hands on the floor, and she ran over it. I stood up and asked her why she did that. and she said that i should have moved out of her way. I told that fat Biatch off, and promptly got fired. People are the worst.

so many. i'm starting 2 hate dealing w/ people.
this isn't the worst, but the most recent. we were grocery shopping in wal-mart when this woman speedily pulls her cart in, swerving over to my wifes side to get to the sauces, and throws her cart right in front of ours, facing head-on. (we'd been scanning the aisle, but definitely still in motion at the time). then she looks at us (with that look of 'birthright' as if to say, can u guys move out of my way)
we've made a policy to start calling these out loud when it happens. my wife says loudly 'see, this is the sh_+ I'm talking about, just rude as$es!'
Yes, it's passive aggressive, but it makes us feel better. :<)
