You Can be Moody, you doctor actually warns you of that and other risks when you take birth control. The reason for the mood swings is because of the chemicals trying to balance themselves out. Once you have been on the pill for about two to three months, you will be fine. You just have to put up with this little side effect or have a 18 year one instead...

Birth control changes up your hormone balance which causes you to have mood swings. If you go to like GNC and get mercury, zinc, or iron pills they will help put the balance back that you need to not be so moody. Good luck!!

it is PMS, but most likely wasn't caused by the pill.however adjusting the pill type to your hormones might ease the moodswings.i have tried 4 different pills before i got ones that suited me. except moodswings you should observe your libido, skin condition, weight swings as they also can be affected (in a positive or negative way) It takes about 3 months before you body gets used to a new pill.

If it is at the end of the pack when you go off the hormones, it may be that the lack of hormones is throwing your moods off in a sort of pms.

This happens to me about 1-2 weeks before i start my period. I'm not sure why it happends and i've been on birthcontrol, the nuvaring, for 4 years...I'm not sure what to say but i think it has to do with hormones or something...
