I am the youngest of 11. I still stay with my parents because they are sick. I pay the bulk of the bills and buy all the groceries and household items. My brothers visit the house three to four times a day looking for something to eat and to borrow things from the house.

Since YOU are the one putting out the cash for your parents and helping with the house (Good for you)! First off change the locks on the doors. Second notify your brothers by phone two days after you change the locks. Tell your brothers there will be a fee of $25.00 to come over to eat and reimburse for the items taken from the house. If no compliance they can not get in. Give your brothers an ultimatum. Come twice a month to come see their parents. This will control the traffic in the house and this will make them respect you. Since they are family, SO WHAT! Tell your brothers get a job, it is no fun being broke.

You and your parents need to stop this. The situation will only get worst. Next, they may want to move in. They can help pay or leave your house. If the problem persists, start contacting the police and have them remove from your property.

I recommend a book titled 'Boundaries' The recommendation is actually stolen from my favorite Financial Counselor. You need to engage in 'Tough Love'. Helping people DOES NOT equal giving them what they WANT. It is giving them what they NEED. It sounds like your brothers need a swift kick in the a**. Possibly both figuratively AND literally.

Be up front and frank with them. Tell them it hurts you to have to be so honest, but you need to share some facts with them. Then tell them the facts. That you don't have the money to feed all these people. Tell them to get their lazy asse* moving and get jobs.

They are not your brothers; they are a bunch of vampires.
Shove a stake up their arses and tell them to go to hell where they all belong.
