Tickets to the county fair for 4 adults and 5 children cost $33.00. An adults ticket cost $1.50 more than a childs ticket. Find the cost of an adults ticket.

(x + 1.5) be adult ticket

4 (x +1.5) + 5x =33
4x +6 +5x =33
9x = 27
x = 3
(x+1.5) = 4.5

4(4.5) + 5(3) =33
18 + 15 =33
