My team is playing a benefit game against the Hollywood All-Stars in a few months. Does anyone know who plays for them? They have not finalized who will be playing yet. I know of Dennis Leary, Keifer Sutherland and Chris Potter do when they are available. Has anyone else seen them play or have an idea of who we can expect to see out?

Yes, it will be for a good cause. The marketing company we are working with will give us a few charities to chose from and we get the final say.

Over the years I've skated with Dave Coulier, Jason Priestley, Chad Lowe (yeah, he was awful), Tim Robbins, Cuba Gooding and some others.

I don't know if Priestley and Lowe still play, but they weren't terribly impressive. Gooding loves the game and has gotten better in the last few years, but he has a ways to go.

Now, Coulier grew up playing, but he's a little older (48) and just started skating regularly again a couple of months back. I would put him at or near the top, skill-wise. I've also been told Sutherland was pretty impressive when he played regularly.

Friends of mine back home in NY regularly play with Leary and say he has a lot of fun with the skates and is pretty good.

Lastly, while Robbins falls into the Gooding category, he can get a little ornery when things don't go well for him on the ice. The Robbins scouting report's over 10 years old, however. He might have gotten better, but I doubt he's mellowed out.

I'm sure you'll have a blast. Ultimately, while it's best to remove any and all intensity from these games, it can get complicated. These guys come in hoping to have fun and entertain, but they don't want to lose either. That's when things can get a little interesting.

For my part, I wanted to kill Chad Lowe. He was all about cruising the red line, tapping his stick and yelling "woo-hoo, woo-hoo, I'm open". It drove me bonkers, but I didn't really want to be the guy who took out Dean Youngblood's little brother. LOL

Have fun and let us know how it went.

I know Cuba Gooding Jr. used to play with them. And I think the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers played goalie for them.

I know Steve Carell from "The Office" plays hockey, not too sure if he plays for the Hollywood team though.

Also, just remembered, didn't Macgyver (Richard Dean Anderson) play for them as well? Unsure if he used duct tape on his stick.

Alan Thicke, Tim Robbins, and Dave Coulier (Full House fame and Red Wings fan) used to play as well.
