I just saw a news report about how women want to get their lips to look like Angelina Jolie's. So they use something called a lip plumper.

Don't you feel your efforts are wasted when you hear that most women are concerned with something so frivolous? The female newscaster sounded so giddy about lip plumpers!

Hahaha.
I RATHER FOR THEM TO BE CONCERNED ON HOW LUSCIOUS AND SEXY THEIR LIP LOOK THAN FOR THEM TO BE CONCERN ON WHY SOME MEN FEEL SO NEGATIVE TOWARDS WOMEN.........(lol).

It is called: a personal choice. And it has nothing at all to do with feminism. I personally do not find Angelina Jolie and her lips attractive in any way. So I would use the money, that others seem to be wasting on such a silly plastic procedure, on my child's future instead. Does that answer your question?

you may experience a tingle on your lips while employing plumper, which skill the plumper is working. in case you experience soreness, you may eliminate it via fact your lips may well be too comfortable or you will possibly be allergic to the product.

And why pick on the women? Talk about frivolous, men are far more ridiculous. If I get one more ad about enhancing my -- er, organ -- I'll scream! And talk about vain -- young guys my age (early 20s) are shaving their pubes -- so their thingies look bigger! Hell, if women want to do stuff like lip plumper, they're only doing what we do. And at least they're working on parts of their bodies that appeal to the opposite sex -- we're obsessed with a little hunk of flesh that, frankly, women think is silly looking at best.

I really don't see the contradiction. I see no reason why I can't campaign for feminist causes, and buy lip plumper. (But I don't. Buy lip plumper, that is, because it sounds scary).

Feminists want women to be happy with the bodies they've been given. We can't stop them from using lip plumper, though.

I'm guessing that that newscaster was not Maria Bartiromo. Her lips are way better than Angelina's.

Seriously though, women's rights should not mean that a woman's priorities can't be as coarse or refined, as subtle or gross, as shallow or profound, as suits her temperament.

Just like men. Some like philosophy, some like football, some like both.

Well said Gnu...

Not all women are going to rush out and get the lip plumper done. I am sure that when men heard of rogaine they ALL ran out to buy it.... sheesh!

is that what we fought for? what? is that a joke? of course not. why would you even ask? the women's movement was never concerned with lip plumpers. it never claimed to be.
