My 2003 PT Cruiser is running rough...as in periodically it will shake a bit and stall out. It is kept in good repair as I change the oil, etc etc. Is it the spark plugs, bad gas or what? Serious answers from serious car people only please. Thanks!

I'd clean the throttle body. Go to your local auto supply and they'll help find the right stuff. Remove the air cleaner, have an assistant inside the car to hold the gas pedal to the floor (car not running) You'll see black soot in there. Spray the cleaner in the throttle until it looks clean. Replace the air cleaner, and start the car. That should do it. If not, check for a loose plug wire, or a disconnected or damaged vacuum hose. That should do it...

No check engine lite ? That would suggest a stuck / sticking idle air control (iac) or a defective throttle position sensor (tps) While you ere at the throttle body check 'em out.

Try adding Chevron Techron Concentrate at every oil change for awhile to clean the carbon out of your engine
