Apparantly I really like "M" names, but anyways.
What do you think of these names for either a boy or girl?
Be honest...don't care about brutal because none of them are mine, lol.

-Maken (May-Ken)
-Mika (Mike-Uh)
or
Mikka (Mee-Kuh or Mik_Uh depending on your prefrence)

Maken is different.. I like it for a boy, but then I conjer up all the rhyming words that might be used to tease him...
Should he go through a pudgy stage: Bacon Maken,
Partakin' Maken, Make the Steak, etc.
But maybe he is a tough athletic type and they call him Breakin' Maken, fakin' Maken...
There are too many things that rhyme with Maken.. I would skip it as a child's name.
Mika and Meka are already overused. There are a whole slew of them in the schools here.. younger kids, around 2 - 4 years old. (Kind of how Chloe was 6 - 8 years ago)
If you are going with M names, I would go with Maren, (rhymes with Karen), for a girl.
Miles for a boy

Maken? No. Macon, sure. But Maken is too much like Makin' ... and that's just off.

Mika is, in my experience, a Japanese girl's name that sounds like Mikka. Micah is a boy's name that sounds like mike-uh. I like Mika/Mikka when pronounced mee-kah and Micah when said mike-uh.

Dizzy now.

Anyhow, my favorite M name is Maren - a variant of Mary.

As a former teacher, if you have to put parenthesis for the pronunciations, think about the tough time this kid would have if someone educated cannot pronounce it. All through life they will have to correct people. The easiest one is Mika. What a pain it is to always have to tell people your name. Mine is not complicated at all but 1 in 25 get it correct and it sucks.

If I only had those 3 to choose from I guess I would go with Mika. Look into other M names like
for a girl: Mina, Mia or Maya or for a boy: Max or Micah

I like maken...but the child will get teased a lot I'm afraid. I also like Mika. I've seen it spelled Micah too.

Maken is just weird.

For some reason I imagine the kids calling the child "Maken Bacon". Don't ask me why.

Mikah, for a girl, is actually sort of cute. I'm not very into contemporary names like that for myself, but I quite like it.

Maken is nice.

Mikka/mika sounds too much like pica or a counter top.
