Memphis is nasty- try Nashville instead! It's a great city with fabulous hospitals. There is always something great happening here and it's a cool place with just the right blend of old and new. Housing is reasonable in certain areas and in some of the towns surrounding the city. Schools are best (if you have kids) in Sumner, Rutherford and Williamson counties. Hope this helps- I just personally have never liked Memphis, but my whole family (3 generations) love the Nashville area. We moved here 6 1/2 years ago from Las Vegas!

i've got examine a lot of those solutions, and a few are genuine and purpose and a few are bareface lies approximately Memphis. After moving and spending over 10 years there as an exec i will help you be attentive to it relatively is the worst, maximum backward city I certainly have ever lived in-racist, parochial, insular, and uneducated. it relatively is a much less high priced city, yet there is mostly a clarification why issues are much less high priced there-it relatively is noted as tradeoffs. awful government, awful colleges, undesirable procuring/groceries, too many chain restos, pervasive nasty bbq, obese people, very extreme airfares/undesirable provider, undesirable uninsured drivers, undesirable making plans/close by, huge white flight, inflated experience of competitiveness, too on the threshold of Mississippi, people can no longer communicate common English, extreme CRIME, ghetto, too many pass over rednecks, and fully proof against substitute. They hate outdoors and divergent opinion. do exactly no longer flow there, too many super southern cities, greater advantageous cities. Worst determination I ever made, even although I earned properly over 6 figures.
