Why or why not?
Do u think this is a sin, immoral?
Is there any real solutions for it?
Consider:
We all know that the death of a family or friend is the least experience we want to go trough. Yet the risk of it is always there....So___________________________________

I would say it should be legalized, but at the same time there are individuals who would only use that for great evil. There is always someone, somewhere who wants to twist a idea into the most heinous action. I can believe that it is not evil for some, but I would have to say it should never be legalized because of the determent it would cause for the masses.

Absolutely -- I think that one of the fundamental rights of every person should be to decide not only how they want to live their life, but whether they want to continue living their life.

Suicide is already completely legal in 48 states, and cannot be prosecuted (even for a failed attempt) in the other two.

Assisted suicide just means someone helping you commit suicide -- it's different than euthanasia, because the person is still killing themself. By making assisted suicide illegal, the only consequence is that people have to come up with often messy ways to kill themself, rather than having a clean and simple option that they can choose with dignity.

As far as being a sin, or being immoral -- as with any such question, that depends on your religion and moral code. Many cultures and many religions consider suicide to be an honorable action -- many don't.

But in the US, morality should NEVER being a deciding factor in whether something should be legal, because we shouldn't be making laws based on any one single religion's rules.

I can see very easy where you might want to help someone that is already dying and suffering badly but suicide is still a sin and helping someone should continue to be against the law. God has a reason for letting everybody die in their own time. We are not more knowing then He that we should try to change things like this. There may be one more thing they can say or do that may change someones life forever. We can pray that God will let them have their rest. That God will end their suffering.I have done this. With results.

Yes. It is not the place of men to determine what is or is not a sin, let alone enforce their interpretation of an ancient article of faith on others.

Second, the government should not make laws to protect people from themselves. If someone believes it is their time to go then I'd much rather them have someone do it clean and be taken care of rather than dirty and make people clean up after them.

I think every individual is entitled to choose to die. Because of that, I believe it should be legal for a person to assist another in implementing that choice when they need it.

There are so many good reasons why it should be legalized but it never will. The reason it never will is to protect people against abusers, people who will break the law. Oh well.

I dont know if its moral or not. But if you legalize assisted suicide people are gonna start being killed and their deaths will be made to look like assisted suicides. It would be to easy to exploit.

No it shouldn't. Imagine all of the sick people that will be murdered by a greedy family member for the inheritance. Old people coerced into suicide so they wouldn't be a financial burden on their family!
