I don't know how old you are but here's some information:
#1. See your doctor! There are many reasons for very heavy bleeding and here are a few:
Uterine Fibroids - Uterine fibroids are the most common, non-cancerous tumors in women of childbearing age...... Women who have uterine fibroids but show no symptoms may not need any treatment.
Some women with fibroids have heavy menstrual periods, and some may bleed in between periods. Medications can often offer relief from many of the symptoms of fibroids, such as pain, and can even slow or stop their growth.
Endometriosis – Endometriosis occurs when tissues that usually grow inside a woman’s uterus grow on the outside instead. Endometriosis may cause pain before and during the first few days of the menstrual period. About 30 percent to 50 percent of women with endometriosis are infertile, making it one of the top three causes for female infertility. Women with endometriosis may also have very heavy periods.
I hope I didn't scare you. It's probably nothing but check with your doctor just to be safe.

This is a very common occurrence.
This condition is called dysmenorrhea... Basically it's the medical term for "heavy, painful periods"
There are a number of options. If you choose to see your MD, commonly, women are started on a low dose birth control pill, as the hormones in the pill control the cramps associated with mensus & the flow.
Often, we recommend to wait for another cycle or two, see if it continues (Your doc may want an ultrasound to see if there are cysts etc)
If you choose not to go to the doctor right away, Midol or Advil (Over the counter medications) help tremendously with cramps associated with periods... Wearing a "Overnight" pad will certainly make you feel more comfortable with a heavier flow.
Good Luck!

I had similar bad periods. Sometimes I would only go a few days, most of the time I would skip 3 to 4 months at a time, and one time I went for a whole month! (The flow was never the same either.) When I finally went to the DR. they put me on the pill to regulate me. It worked wonders! (no more blood pooling around my feet after a shower!) Another possibility is that even though you already had a period, the bad one could have been a miscarriage. Hope things wok out for you!

It could just be an abnormal time for you. There is a chance that it is the way it is because of stress, eating habits, weight issues or lack of vitamins and nutrients. Let it do its course and keep track of it for next month. If it gets worse or the same go see a doctor.

I don't know your age but yes it can come back like that and be heavy. Sometimes, depending on your age, the cycle changes. This may be it.
However, if you bleed for more than say 4-5 days like this, see the gyn.

This may just be an abnormal period.
I get them alot or it skips months.
But i just got mine two years ago.
It depends on how old you are i guess.
If your still young its normal for periods
to be irregular. I would suggest you see a doctor
though just incase. Better safe then sorry rite?
Hope i helped!

WELL I DON'T KNOW YOUR AGE. IF YOU ARE 30 plus, POSSIBLY BEGINNING SIGNS OF PMS.
THEN AGAIN, IF YOU'RE 30 TO ADOLESCENCE IT COULD BE STRESSES OR CHANGE OF A ROUTINE GOING RIGHT NOW IN YOUR LIFE.
IT CAN EVEN BE AS MUCH AS A CHANGE IN DIET FOR BOTH GROUPS. TAKE NOTE AS TO WHAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS.
NEVERTHELESS, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR.

Possible miscarriage...see a doctor right away. Do you have clots? Then you could have an infection or some other problem in the lining of the uterus.

It could be alot of things, like ovarian cysts. You need to go to the ObGyn, to make sure all is fine.
