Highschool usually isn't the greatest, and at the time, I know, it seems to last forever. Really though, it's a few years out of your life which will probably consist of many many many years. People will grow up, things will be better later. Keep hanging in there!

You only get out of life what you put into it. No, high school is not the answer to everything, but instead of just wasting your time there, get involved in discussions with your teachers; you'll be surprised how their attitude to you will change. Read Robert Kiyosaki's excellent book "Do you have to go to school to BE RICH AND HAPPY?"
As for Minnesota, try to find a book by Garrison Keillor called "Leaving Home: a collection of Lake Wobegon Stories" (Faber & Faber, London 1987).
You do know how to read????

Yeah, I think most everybody except for maybe a handful of cheerleaders and jocks didn't like high school too much. But cheer up--junior high was even worse (things are getting better anyway). The rest of your life is bound to improve after secondary-school limbo/hell.

High School just like college is what you make of it, what you want to put into it, and what you decide to take out of it. It can be some of your best years, after all you do get long vacations, you get to have fun after classes, you meet new people. Just think once you are out of high school, no more summers off, no more hanging with kids just for something to do, no more free rides on your parents. No one ever said life what fair or all fun and games, just think what you get to do for the next 40+ years of your life, and when you hit 40 or 50 you will be wishing you could have the high school life again.

Actually, I wish I could go back to the time when all I had to worry about were the aggravations of high school. Life was so much simpler back then. Of course, I wasn't singing quite the same tune when I was actually attending high school.

I never liked high school either. I've been out of high school for more than ten yrs, but I hated it back then and would probably hate it now if I was there.

I found it difficult to concentrate and that's why I felt I hated it. Life can get better, but I think you do miss the times when it seemed your life was a little more carefree. At least I do.

High school wasn't my favorite part of life, but I can truly tell you that the more you tough it out and the better you do in high school will add a lot to your enjoyment of life thereafter.
