When did you start rooting for them, the second super bowl? The third? Maybe this year when your team starting playing poorly?
I'll bet I get a lot of "I've always been a pats fan". And I'm sure SOME have, but really theres no way that there are that many. Before Tom Brady the Pats were nothing special. Now all these fans come out of the woodwork.
Yes I'm a cowboys fan being a sore loser. So you don't have to play that card. I wanna see this, so flame away.

And I've been a cowboys fan from birth, my father was a VERY devoted fan, season ticket holder, and still is although we moved to Maryland in the 90's.

Very good question actually. It wasn't all that long ago when the Pats would play before a half empty HOME stadium.
What is the deal Pats "fans"? LOL

I have been a Patriots fan since 1984. And never did I waiver. And you will find fans like that in every NFL team. You hang in there through the tough times. You get highly rewarded in the best of times.
If You're a Cowboy's fan, than my hat goes off to you. At least you did not abandon them because of one loss. The Cowboys still remain a very good team. I take nothing away from them. But in the end, there is only room for one winner.
Besides, the Cowboys do enjoy a history of championships that few have achieved. But this time it is my Patriots going for that place in history. I have earned it waiting all these years. 3 superbowls, dreaming on the 4th. Look out Colts.

Since "Squish the Fish" was in vogue. Also I never knew a Cowboy's fan before the early 90's. Seems they all disappeared for like 10 years between 82 and 92 or so. And for the record their are 4 or 5 AFC teams that would wipe the floor with any NFC team in the Super Bowl.

I love these questions. I love how people try to hate on other teams, especially if their team just lost to the team they hate, lol.
Anyway, I have been a Pats fan since 1996. Even when they had their down seasons, like 2000, 2002, and 2005, I still rooted for them. And I sure as heck still root for them even though they lost to the Colts last year. Colts were the better team last year, I'll admit that. Still, the Patriots will always be my team, even if they go 0-16.

I started watching them when Tony Eason and Steve Grogan were splitting time in 1985. So don't group me with fair weather fans. I was there when they went 1-15 in the early 90s. I was born in '82, so I am sure I was watching before then I just can't remember. They are the best team in the NFL, today proved that. Well no I take that back it only proved that the Cowboys are a fluke and the NFC is weak and brittle.

I get some flak on here about my pro-Patriot trash talking, but I think I've earned the right...
When I was 8 years old, I watched Tony Eason and Steve Grogan lead the unlikely Patriots into the Super Bowl with the Bears, and watched as they were crushed by Chicago.... Had to listen to all of the bandwagon Bears fans at school talk trash, but I dealt with it.
Then in 1996, I was THERE in New Orleans when I watched Drew Bledsoe bring the Patriots to within 7 points of the Packers, and then had my heart sink as Desmond Howard and Reggie White made history. Then I had to go back home and deal with all of the new Packer fans that had sprung up.
So now, when I watch Tom Brady dominate yet another team, I remember those Chicago Bear fans back in 1985 and all of their trash talk... well, its OUR turn now!
You had your turn to trash talk, back in 1992-1995....
16-0....get used to it

I'm from Boston so I've always been a Pats fan.
But you have to consider that a strong majority of New England are Pats fans.

Lived in Dallas. Some of the countries worse fair weather fans. When you show up year after year in some really cold weather conditions then I would say real Pats fans are just as good as Packers fans. Seems to be common in those cold weather climates that the fans are real and not some transplants in a fake city.
