I'm an aspiring writer creating a story in the vein of Ghostbusters, Ghost Hunters, and Power Rangers . The primary antagonists (bad guys or "monster of the week") in the story are ghosts. What can I do to make each ghost the characters encounter interesting? I REALLY NEED SOME GOOD ANSWERS!!!

Always have a good background as to why the spirit is there. Also, There is nothing more annoying than "henchmen ghosts". One thing many people don't understand about spirits is that while they can exert control over one and other, to a point, they can't turn other spirits into mindless zombies. Treat each spirit like an Individual, not merely someone to fight. I think that would also give you more richness in your writing, no?

Create the ghost's life ... then you can refer back to it when writing your book, if you have an idea who they were in life and how and where they died, along with who is important to them, your reader will be more interesting.

Read THE GHOST by Danielle Steele for a compelling story revolving around the tale of a ghost's life.
