Because they throw money around; Jerry Jones and being arrogant and flashy (notice him behind Wade Phillips today during the game) and just the whole huge Texas thing.
Additionally, the fact that some dumb broadcaster back in the 70's labeled them "America's team", and they continue to use that slogan, is totally disrespectful to the other 31 franchises. Remember there were quite a few other franchises in the AFL/NFL before the Cowboys came along. They are not America's team - ask any other football fans - 98% of American's do not like them, simply because of that arrogance.
They got everyone else to hate them; and it has nothing to do with winning superbowls, etc. By the way you do NOT have more fans than any other franchises. Steelers fans are in the top 3 (along with Green Bay and Chicago) with the number of fans because of their fanbase nationwide and are not bandwagon fans (check out the games and you'll see a huge turnout at all road games). Get a clue dude.

I am not a yankee and i really dont hate any team.But i would like to answer your question on why people hate Dallas.If any team in the league hade called themselves Americas team before the Cowboys did ,i really believe they would be hated also,you are your team America has 32 teams they are all Americas team,depends on what state your teams from.The arrogance portrayed by Dallas has pissed off so many fans world wide when in reality the last 10 years Dallas hasnt done anything but go home at the end of the season.Secondly i think the fans hate Dallas because the Dallas fans are fickle,if they have a winning record every Dallas fans sings there glory but no one has been singing the past several years.If you are a true fan of a team you will support them through good and bad years,there your team.I know how Dallas fans are i lived there for 5 years and there newspapers are just a fickle.

16 Championship appearances (8-8) of 41 in SB era.
19 Division titles.
For all of that success, that meant that someone's hometown team was on the losing end of a lot of those games.
That's why people hate the cowboys.

They hate the Cowboys because the media loves them and continues to call them "America's Team".
Sad they lost, but hey Tom Brady was great today as he always is. I just keep thinking, would you want to be the QB in New England after Brady hangs it up?

I'm a Steelers fan, so we have just as many Superbowl wins, and two of them were against the Cowgirls. I have no reason to be jealous of your pathetic team.
I mostly hate them because of their bandwagon, idiot fans (like you) and Jerry Jones is an ******. That whole self-proclaimed "America's team" rubs alot of people the wrong way.

They suck and are not going to do anything this year. The last 2 games they have been outplayed. They got lucky against the Bills and got there asses handed to them by the Pats. Romo will chike like last year and Owens will want out of Dallas.
