Solve the equation log_x (8 )+ 2 log_2 (x) = 7

NOTE: the log_x 8 is actually log base x (8) and the 2 log_2 x is also acutally 2 log base 2 (x)...

Please show me your workings clearly....thanks a lot.

Well, log x base 8 is equivalent to 3 log x base 2. Add them together to get 5 log x base 2 = 7 divide by 5, log x base 2 = 7/5. Exponentiate each side base 2:

x = 2 ^(7/5)
