No, Darling. It was getting crazy there for a few years, so I carefully trained myself to return to celebrating Christmas the old fashioned way my parents did, by not decorating until December, and not even thinking of buying anything until about the fifteenth. Cards go out by the tenth and no more than fifteen of them. No big fuss. The whole emphasis is upon the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Not a shopping extravaganza or an everybody has to get a fifty dollar gift or two hundred cards all handwritten or how many people to invite to a booze party, or the mile-long Honey-Do list that only gives you a major headache. No more fighting with the kids about how much stuff they want.

Since last year, when buying a friend presents for their birthday at the end of November and discovering I got the things I sent for just in time, I have been looking through a few catalogues quite earlier and have now got my friends birthday sorted, their Christmas nearly sorted and my mum's Christmas nearly sorted. I've also got all my cards and wrapping paper bought.
I like that I'm pretty sorted - especially since this is my first Christmas in my own house and 'on my own two feet' so to speak. I have very little money coming in so it's good to be buying things in small doses, rather than having to spend a lot of money all at once.

Jeez, I haven't even thought that far ahead. My son is 3 in November so I'm trying to get that out of the way and then it's Thanksgiving. Just the thought of dealing with the Christmas tree and untangling the lights puts me in a cold sweat. I also need to order my Bob Champion christmas cards which will take about a month to get here - good job you reminded me!

Started Christmas shopping? I've been started for months!!!
I have to start early or it will never get done. Financially, things are always tight so I buy things early on and put them back for Christmas.
I just wrapped 7 presents a few minutes ago.
I start EARLY!!!
Hugs...

Christmas Gift Ideas
One of the things that make Christmas special is the spirit of giving. As children we can’t wait for Christmas morning to open presents. We thought in terms of receiving. As adults we think in terms of giving. And hopefully, our Christmas gifts are gifts of love.
Men look for just the right gifts for women. Women usually shop for men, their own children as well as others, and for family and friends. Here are some suggestions to get you started.
Merry Christmas! LOL!!!

Yes, i ordered 12 gift card envelopes & have been ordering one card per week, suited for the individual, and within my budget.
Most all popular restaurants offer them, clothing shops, spas, beauty care, shoes, sports stores, even the wal mart, target, and electronics stores offers a gift card. CVS has one that you can even use for medicine.
Let's them choose something they need or want,
Benefits me since i am unable to get out to the stores anymore.
good luck & merry christmas
