They are paranoid because they are incredibly ignorant as to where their tax dollars really go. They don't get the fact that national health care would actually cost less per year than what this war in iraq is costing us per year. Yes, It's that simple. I would say they are stupid too, but I'm really trying to be nice today.

Many countries have good working health care programs based on universal health.. why the US is so against it.. I don't know.. the rich don't want to part with a dime and they want to keep all the best doctors for themselves I guess.

i do no longer see that each and each individual has proposed an surely "plan" for the US. I pay attention sound bites alongside with "we desire usual well-being care in u.s." yet i've got yet to work out an in intensity plan. And yet you persons shop paying for the rhetoric. The founding fathers have been mind-blowing while they left the superb of the persons to vote for president out of the form huh?

The only way they will change is to have a major illness and denied care because they don't have insurance. It has to strike them or near to thier home before they will listen. Right now I am paying for my niece's operation for precancerous ovarian cysts because she has no insurance. My own country doesn't give a sh** about regular people at all. Plain and simple....

There are many other countries where it does not work. (my wife is from one of them) Socialized healthcare is like socialized k-12 education. There is no incentive to do better, the government needs to set a level playing field and let free markets compete so we all receive better services. Why not offer tax incentives to Americans for health insurance rather then have the government run it?
I have a hard time understanding the lib position. They hate authority yet want authority to give them everything. Its like a 30 year child complaining about his parents when he still lives under their roof rent free. It makes no sense.

Look closer to home...the Canadians hate their universal lack of health care! They are, and have been for 20+ years crossing the boarder and paying cold hard cash in the states for life saving treatment that they can't receive in Canada...well not receive in time to save their life! If socialized heath care is so great, why did Castro come to the US for medical treatment, as have many Leaders of other foreign Nations!!

1) I'd rather pay for universal healthcare with my tax dollars than a fraudulent oil-based war lining the pockets of the President and VP.
2) Conservatives are, as they so often do, reacting knee-jerk fashion to the source of a suggestion. They don't get as far as considering whether the suggestion is a good one -- as this one is. They just kick that laig and hate the people who suggested it. ... AGAIN.
