First, I don't think he said "we die defending are rites" but said our rights. Second, considering that he was heading for anihilation, it is as wise as anything else.

At that time when only the indian and white men were involved, it may have been a wise saying. However, where the whole world is now connected in our modern day, if we thought it was a wise saying and were going to follow it, we would have to condone and support all the terrorist who believe the say way that Sitting Bull did.

it's so true! we should be who we are and defend it to the death. we should fight for what we know is right. if we blend in with everyone else, where's the character in that? god made everyone different and he wants you to be who he made you, not someone else.
