i mean skinwise which one is safer for a teen to use and works well?

im a teen and a clinique lover but most of my friends wear mac since it has more loud, extravagant palettes. my opinion is similar to the answerer's above, clinique is more sober and discret but it takes care of your skin while it enhace your beauty so personally I wouldn't change clinique for any other brand

It depends on what you want. Mac is geared to makeup, glamorous, gaudy (?), loud, brash, etc. They are alot more trendy and popular with younger people.
Clinique is a skin care first line. They specialize in hypo allergenic, dermatologist tested makeup and skin care products. I don't think mac does anything but makeup. But Clinique deals with cleansers, anti aging, acne, all that stuff. Their makeup colors are more conservative and tame. That's why it depends on what's important to you.
I might buy a nice loud eye shadow from mac here and there, but Clinique is my home because they take care of my skin, and I love Bonus Time, where you get a little cute cosmetic bag with samples a few times a year as a free gift with your purchase.

I hate to be the blacksheep, but Clinique is better for your skin. For other products yeah MAC is better, but four out four people I know that use mac foundation all have suffered major breakouts. Clinique had stuff that doesn't clog your pores, and works just as well if not better than mac!

I've been using Clinique products since I was a teen! I like their line of cosmetics, but go easy because a teen's skin is greasier than an adults. So, buy a few basics, like cleanser, moisturizer, & foundation before you decide what's right for you. Actually, try going to the cosmetic counter of a major department store, and ask them for samples. Otherwise, you might waste your money on useless items.
