Many People think that , but Joba Is a projected Starter i think he will be that , Plus if Mo does not Comeback then all i can say is that the Yankees are screwd on the Fact who the hell is going to the Save the Game for them

joba will be a starter according to the yankee officials (namely the sons of george steinbrenner and also it was announced on yankees.com)

Joba is going to be a starter. He wants to be a starter and he has that starter mentality. Should Mariano leave I believe the Yankees would look at another pitcher on their staff to close or go out and find one.

Cashman say the only way they would rethink if Joba won't start if Mariano don't come back. In my opinion he would be starter unless Yankee could land a big time starting pitcher like Johan Santana beside that he would be a starter in my opinion.

Not all the time like Mo did, but occasinaly.
The. Yankees. Want. Him. To. Be. A. STARTER. He will get 15 starts in and close a couple of games, then the Yankees will see if hes vintage Mo or Whitey Ford.

Yes. Joba has been great and can pitch under pressure but he could be a starter it's up to him.

He's not gonna be a closer. I read in an article that they're talking about moving him into the starting rotation next season. They'll probably call up someone from the minors, though.

I think he should be. As much as I dont like the kid, he has talent and would be a great closer.
