Has anyone ever heard of ; or been to Spook Hill in Florida?

These tow sites will give you an idea of what Spook Hill is all about. For some reason, I never saw the thrill of it. I took many a girl in the '50's, my wife & kids in the '70's and they were all thrilled. Now homes have been built in the background and takes away much of the optical illusion. In other words, it's not what it used to be. The thrill is gone, yet the story is a good one.

Drive down to Lake Wales and see for yourself. When you're done drive over to Bok Tower http://www.boksanctuary.org/ for a visit, feed the squirrels and have an ice cream cone.

I just stumbled across it today in searching for information about Lake Wales Florida. Little did I know that there are several of these optical illusion hills around the U.S

Never been there but found videos taken on You Tube.

I've actually been to Spook Hill when I was much younger. I remember it being pretty fun. And it's in Lake Wales, by the way.

Yes I went with my mom in 1979!! We did exactly what it said to do our car rolled back just like they said.Do not know how it did it but it did. vicki
