It can be one of two things... 1. He's saying to his family "This woman is very special to me right now. I want you to get to know you and her to know you. Or, in my case, 2. We've been dating long enough and are serious enough that meeting my crazy family won't weird you out or scare you away. But in either case I'd say that he is thinking seriously about you.

Families are so different in Western culture, some are very prim and proper about meeting, in others they sometimes never meet the wife. What culture are you from?

It's a good sign that he really likes you and sees your relationship going somewhere serious and long term but it's not the big deal it is in other cultures. He's (probably) not gettign ready to propose or anything, he just wanted to see how his family likes you and how you like his family.

I would think that means that he's pretty serious with you.
Atleast to the part that he feels like you are going to be in his life for some time.
And that's why he wanted his Mom to meet you.
Sounds like a good sign to me ;)

When my husband took me to meet his mother, I knew he was getting serious about the relationship. They do it because they're finally comfortable enough with us that they won't mind their parents asking questions.
