I would say that article is the best effort we can expect from Bush.

It is part and parcel of strained relations with Turkey - friendly until Turkey refused the Administration's request to allow US forces to open a northern front in Iraq, via Turkey, when George Bush went after Saddam. And Wolfowitz more or less told the Turkish military to overthrow the democratically elected Govt. of Turkey, Rummy got really angry too - just the sort of neo-con idiocies which loses the US its friends and allies overseas. So naturally Turkey is abnormally sensitive over the genocide issue, also over US support of the Kurds, who continue to harass Turkish forces in the border region. It will take more than sweet talk from George and Condy to bring the Turkey bird back into the Administration's embrace.

Well the comic is pretty damn funny.
The situation is not.

There are American soldiers catching bullets in Iraq.
At stake is our oil supply and the capacity of Terrorist to strike at America.

There has been exactly one Muslim country consistently on our side in this struggle.

So let's resurrect a 92 year old atrocity, committed by a government that's been gone for 85 years, and give Turkey a great big public smack in the face as our special American thank you.

Jeez. The Dems should stop beating around the Bush and just vote to fund Al-Qaeda.

Democrats and namely Nancy Pelosi are going down a slippery slope right now.

Why wouldn't Bush calm our ally whom allows us to respond to the Soviet Union in case they strike and also is used as our staging area for Iraq and Afghanistan as well as allowing us to use their airspace for cargo planes? What the heck is wrong with Democrats that they feel it is the proper thing to incite right now? They complain about Bush not using diplomacy and then here you are complaining when he does...

Do you realize that the ambassador to Washington, Nabi Sensoy, is being recalled?

How does this help the US right now? This is such a stupid move, I can't imagine that anyone would think otherwise but obviously I am wrong.

As horrible as this is we are not the world's police force. We need to bugger out of all the problems of other nations and work on our own.

Turkey needs to get used to the fact that history is not going to change.

i dont see why the dems are making this such a big issue. most of the airstrikes we make iraq, are because we have access to turkish airspace. the dems need to drop this. even though, the turks are guilty of this atrocity.

Cool!!
That's what a president is supposed to do.

Always follow the "Money Trail". It goes right back to the Democrat Party.

(HEY..... The Democrats thought that genocide was quite acceptable for almost a hundred years. NOW.... IT'S NOT NICE.)

FOLLOW THE DEMOCRATS' MONEY TRAIL.
(It is covered in blood.)
