How do you set up a wireless network that has a modem? I really don't want to unplug any of the cords that are already in place. is there a way to plug a wireless tower in the computer or modem without having to mess around with other wires?

lol sorry i'm really tired and i've been working on this stupid internet thing for over an hour so i'm a little out of it. right now the internet is completely set up through a modem and I don't want to touch any of the cat5 cables because I don't want to chance messing anything up. Is there any way that I can just plug the wireless router into the modem?

if your current modem has wireless capability, you dont need to unplug anything. i think you're gonna need to unplug most of the cables that you currently have to get wireless. you're also gonna need a wireless router. and wireless cards for each computer ;)

a minimum of you be attentive to which you're being naive and likely, you purely connect your "server" to the router via an ethernet cable and the laptops will connect via wifi to the router. it is an extremely undemanding setup.
