Or is it the emo, punk,&rock that has evolved them to wear tight skinny jean pants. Just wondering of curiousity what many of you people think. I see young guys wearing girl jeans at times, some wearing long thin earring in one ear. And some wearing make-up now and painting their nails black, and last of all......straightening their hair?.. Sure we're used to guys putting gel and mouse on their hair evey morning. But imagine a guy every morning standing in the mirror straightening their hair... kind of weird to me? And no men that do stuff like this are not gay, nor do I have anything against them. But I remember how in the old days men used to be more civilized and tough and we still have some guys like that but only a few, because of our young generation that is still growing.

Those are the weak nerdy guys that are doing that and it looks very gay in my opinion. There are still plenty of guys out there that act like real men. Just ignore those losers.

The young generation are doing what all young people do... surviving the world that has been left to them. Since Reagan, they have had to struggle increasingly with poverty. That's why they HAVE to work. In our generation, there were more opportunities for cheap, higher education. Don't blame them. They'd probably love a free college education, like I had. But, they have to struggle in a difficult economy & work in trendy shops to sell things to the other young people, indoctrinated by commercials to think that they aren't worth anything without designer clothes, sexiness, a nice car, a partner, etc.

I agree with you - men should be men but they appear to have become more feminine than females! I think its the modern culture now which really pushes the whole focus on appearance and looking after one self that has made men focus on their outward appearance. Its not just emos or any groups - there is a comeback of the glamourous man which made Cary Grant such an icon back in his day and George Clooney the icon he is now.

You have your Mr *insert country*, your Mr Universe and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. What adds to it more is girls love it (some anyway) and this pressures more guys into appearances.

I see what your saying and I agree. And by civilized, men dont have to have a bushy beard or anything and they're not dirty. Civilized men are those who are dress smart with high class, or just like regular guys with a normal plain short and some jeans. And they're still clean.

I know what you mean. Its getting harder to actually see that they are guys sometimes! My cousin(male) is into emo and takes longer in the mirror than i do! I'm getting really tired of him taking my eyeliner and hair straightener! Not to mention my powder to make himself look paler.

LMAO...1 star for you, i see what you meant, and you hit the nail.

yes they indeed became too feminine. In this case blame Medeia stupidity, plus MTV , and society. Men should be men. trustworthy, relaible, humble.

I couldn't agree more. All these blazers, and skinny jeans, and wristbands, actually "styling" their hair! and getting manicures! What the hell?!

They need to send them to bootcamp - seriously. lol

It's getting annoying
