Here's the situation: If I were stuck for ten hours in an elevator with "ArgleBargleWoogleBoo", "Short Bus" and "Chi Guy", when the doors finally open, would there be four confirmed Liberals exiting, or four Conservatives?

Or do you see some other scenario after the ten hours are up?

Okay... Two of them I feel as though I know and although their questions tend to lean a certain way, they aren't who most people would think they are. Both realize that we're dealing with a government and it's representatives who have sold out. One (name not to be mentioned), would probably demonstrate that in reality he's a neutered male who simply wants to be fed, taken care of (at our expense of course) and to cat around at will, but can't. Those are generally the loudest ones. They live miserable lives whose 'roars' are generally begging for help in disguise.

You and the other two would head to the nearest bar to have an interesting conversation. The last one will be digging through trash cans in a very dark alley...... Angry and kittenless!

Providing the four of you would survive the encounter. There is no chance that four liberals would leave the confines. Conservatives(you included) have thought out their positions and are not likely to throw away years of study, research, and accurate analysis for the emotional arguments of liberalism. The three liberals my arrive at different conclusions. That of course would depend on certain factors. 1) are they open to honest debate, if so changes in their ideology could occur. 2) are they older than 18,if so changes in their ideology could occur. 3) are they of sound mind and free of mental disease, if so changes in their ideology could occur. Liberals, much like recovering drug addicts, must reach bottom before things improve. Usually this is precipitated by them becoming victims of their own liberalism. Many Conservatives become Conservative after a mugging, or getting a good job, or through marriage. Sometimes it takes repeated exposure to government bureaucracies and the power of unelected apprichniks. If you find yourself in the situation you pose, remember this one simple rule, "never underestimate human stupidity" If you have success with just one out of three consider it a victory.

I think Short Bus and Chi Guy shows signs of being rational . And perhaps together we could find a way out of there or at least constructively try .

ARGLE ? -- I don't think he'd give a straight answer if his life depended on it ... . . I'd expect that sometime in that ten hours we'd have had enough of him and likely would've hog-tied him and put an apple in his mouth for artistic effect and seasonal decor .

Changing a Conservative to a Liberal requires a lobotomy, narcotics and Electroshock therapy.
Changing a Liberal to a Conservative takes 10 years and a good private sector job.

So I'm guessing the elevator won't do the trick.

You can lead a man to reason, but you can't make him think.

Argle....don't bother...He/She is the one who should be on the short bus...can't have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Short Bus....although antagonistic...I think he/she does it for shock factor....loves playing the devil advocate and would smile while "defending" an the opposing argument...I can see him/her having two persona's....just to be able to be twice as controversial...

Chi Guy...sometimes I have to read his questions twice....they are somewhat more diverse and upon reading them, at times, I think someone has high jacked his avatar and is actually making sense...but this is a rare phenomenon...

The least likely scenario....you coming out a liberal....I have to retain my faith in your common sense and your ability to not fall victim to the vapid left.

I don't think you'd get anywhere with Argle, he/she/it is too far gone for reason. Short Bus has a strange sense of humor, and could provide some entertainment...but might get sidetracked by tedious, repetitive phraseology. Chi Guy is probably the more independent-minded and might actually be a candidate for conversion.

ArgleBargleWoogleBoo would quickly wind up unconscious on the floor (or worse).

The other two… I have agreed with Short Bus (believe it or not) on a few occasions…

Chi Guy… God bless him he isn’t as uneducated/uninformed/misinformed as many other liberals (not all, but many) here at YA but, his take on radical Islam, its history and its current threat needs to be honed.

I personally would think that there would be 4 very ticked off people leaving....if you think you have a shot at converting ones who have scales over their eyes you're just fooling yourself. You on the other hand might need some counseling because your hope for humanity would have to be severely damaged....

I would hope that there would be 4 conservatives, but the reality is that I would be bound and gagged because as we all know liberals cannont and will not tolerate logical open discussion.

I think the conservative would be dead! Their only solution is if you don't see it my way, we will beat the liberal ideology into you!
Remember liberals are hostile when confronted about their views. Do you think for one minute they would listen to rational thinking out alone a conversation?
