I keep thinking of Terry Shivo. Would they have allowed psychics to read her mind so she could say if she wanted to live? I worked with the handicapped. Many couldn't talk. I couldn't "read their minds", but TRIED to "figure out" what they wanted. It was REALLY HARD TO DO..and gave me many headaches trying to understand them in order to help them. What a blessing it would be for them and their caretakers to have someone to help them speak..at least mentally. And that little girl who is handicapped & might get a hysterectomy...If a psychic could read her mind & know what SHE wants..or doesn't want. Wouldn't that be A GOOD THING?? Do "psychics" ever try to help those people who can't talk.?

gigi..there were many who were taught to use sign language gestures..but there were many more, MUCH worse off than Terry who weren't able to move..only facial gestures were signs. But Terry did that too..and they didn't count it as her answer. (I hope the govt(that governor/lawyer) doesn't find the care center I worked in. They'd be killing a lot of them..and I'm SURE they don't want to die.

JS...Yes..I've felt that it's true about animals..Strange things have happened to me too with animals. I think we don't give them enough credit for what they can do and can communicate.I won't share my experiences on here because they are precious to me..but I sure appreciate your sharing with us.Thanks!

That is a good idea. I'm not sure how good that would work if someone was really brain dead. I think that there might be a problem telling if you were in touch with a spirit or their brain. I have had 2 horses that could communicate to me that they had a problem, like a thorn or stone in the frog or pain in a spot. One even could read my mine and cut out a cow with out even getting on him. So why not people too. Most people don't give the handicapped much credit for their brains, I have known people trapped in a dis functional body that are extremely smart. We are all just one accident away from that.

Lets face it there are quacks and rip-off artists in plenty of fields. Psychics, medical professionals, chiropractors and attorneys. Point being no experiment at the pc or in a ebook can end up you're psychic. The truly query is do you could have da cha vu, night time goals or day visions approximately long run parties that do occur or visions of persons ago that experience lived to your apt and that sort of factor. I have too routinely. True visionarys certainly not have visions approximately thier possess lifes however approximately others. Usually it cant be pulled up on a wim. It simply occurs whilst it does and doesnt whilst it doesnt. Have you had say 10 coincidences in every week? All inform inform indicators of a few capacity. But believe me it may be a curse, disturb your sleep, break your day, make you believe your loopy, and be a gigantic accountability. Do you inform the opposite individual you had this imaginative and prescient? Will they believe your loopy and run. Also is it ok along with your devout ideals to pre warn the individual and probably difference gods plans for them? It can be damaging to inform others you could have psychic abilitys exspecially if they're doing unhealthy matters. Why considering you can also decide on up on thier incorrect doings and for that reason be a risk to them. Believe me its a curse to have those abilitys and now not a blessing.

The government did in fact use ESP (so-called "psychic powers") for 23 years in what became known as the "Star Gate" program (not related to the movie or TV show!). They trained and then used soldiers and government civilians to spy on America's Cold War opponents. These "psychic spies" did in fact have a number of now-documented successes. However, just because ESP is real doesn't mean the kind of ESP that has been tested and used is the right kind to help people in comas. That kind would most likely be some kind of telepathy, and that hasn't been as thoroughly tested as has what the government used -- "remote viewing," a kind of clairvoyance.

Actually, I think the government knows psychic abilities are real, which is the reason why it hasn't been proven. If you think about it, proving psychic abilities are real would upset the throne of power. It would be completely impossible to control the populace, especially when people start trying to tap into their psychic potential.
I know psychic abilities are real because I have dreams that are predictions and when I focus I can correctly predict a dice roll. I plan to experiment with it and hone it, which I will see exactly what it's extent is such as lottery etc..
When focusing, it feels like a warm wave of emotions flooding my mind. I'm a very empathetic person, which I'm curious if empathy has anything to do with. Only way to know is to find out how empathetic other psychics are.

Psychic abilities were proven but the government tried to use them for destructive and espionage methods instead. The film about Uri Geller's life shows how he escaped from a government research lab because they tried to get him to kill someone with his mind. Psychic abilities could be used to help the handicapped, maybe someday they will, but the powers that be have to be woken up about how everyone is connected before they go tampering with these powers.

I think it would be fantastic if we could read the minds of those who are unable to speak. However, there would still be people who would be unable to communicate simply because their brains are incapable of doing so. (Schiavo is a good example. Her brain was not operating at all.)
If psychic ability were real I would not count on any level of government to implement anything with it. It would be a private sector endeavor, as it should be.
You need to be careful when you are trying to sympathize with the mentally handicapped. It's possible you're helping, but if you are familiar with the cases of facilitated communication in the past you will know that sometimes the facilitator is the one that is communicating, not the handicapped person. (It's a bit like the ideomotor effect that comes into play with Ouija boards.)

If Psychics were real, the military would have them enlisted. Wall Street bankers would have them, and this notion of every Psychic saying they would never use their abilities to make money it with are full of it so to speak. If you could see the winning powerball numbers for 40 million dollars, would you refuse to use them?i am sure there are many that would use their power to help those less fortunate like mutes or sick people, but you notice they wont do it. The reason is they cant do it. A persons in a coma, the Psychic comes in and tells the wife, he wants you to get on with life and re marry. A month later he wakes up and asked why shes re married? she says a Psychic told her you said so. he says what the H*** are you talking about?!!!
wishful thinking but it will never happen.

I worked in long term care for 20 years. With most of my patients that were in a vegetative state there was nothing there. The best way I can describe it is the soul, or spirit was gone and only the shell or body was being kept alive.
Now with some, I felt something was there. One of my jobs working in long term care was providing activities for these people. I had to note any response they had. I had a few patients that would respond to certain stimulation. I had a feeling that they were "still with us".
I wouldn't call myself psychic, I think of myself as a "Sensitive" and yes I did help a lot of people out that couldn't talk, when I worked in the nursing home.
When I worked in the Hospital there was a man who was in a coma. I sensed he was in pain when I was working with him. I went and talked to the nurse and she said she would bring something for him. I went back and told him.
A few years went by and the man ended up in my nursing home (after he came out of the coma) and he came up to me and said, "I remember you, from when I was asleep, thank you for helping me"
There is a big difference between Coma and Brain dead!

wow, you are an amazing person for being so patient with and devoted to these people. I'm sorry to say, but if psychic abilities were proven, the government would primarily (and possibly only) use those abilities for purposes of warfare.

I don't know if the Government would.Certainly private industry would jump on it in a second. There would be billions of dollars to be made.Teaching telekinesis to the paralyzed.Telepathy to the hearing impaired. The blind could see.Even more mundane things like using remote viewing for fisherman. The uses are too numerous to count. The only thing, people have been claiming these powers since ancient times. If they were going to do any good with them .Don't you think they would have?Or,have we skeptics been holding them back?
