I have a small little field mouse sneaking around my kitchen. I think if I set a trap, my pup will just get her muzzle caught in it or something. If I use posion she would eat it. Are there any traps that don't kill the mouse so I could just relocate the mouse and not have to worry about hurting my dog?

Sure, just make one.I did this when we had mice.I took a coffee can and cut a little hole in the lid. Then,I put bread or a piece of cookie inside and watched, very quietly. When the mouse went in,I quickly slapped a potholder over the hole and took the mouse or mice outside and to a wooded area for release. We would catch up to 8 or 9 mice at once using this method. The mice can't hurt you,so don't be afraid.Even if one would bite you, their teeth are so small that they only leave a scrape, and they do not carry rabies. You can also buy humane traps at some garden shops, but a can is cheaper! It's nice that you don't want to hurt the mouse or the dog!

their are humane traps---- bought at residing house depot i think of. walmart too. i think of meijer has them too. they wont harm your kitten or the mouse so anyone(or each and every animal) would be happy and secure in case you prefer to however you may get plastic ones that are tractor furnish and my dad snapped one on his finger and it did no longer harm plenty yet i'm not sure approximately your kitten. attempt to locate some yet once you cant locate plastic ones than get humane ones that wont harm the kitten or the mouse. the plastic ones have a pretend piece of cheese interior and whilst the mouse is going for the cheese the actual will snap down on the mouse. I even have had one in all those till now and that i dont think of they're going to harm your kitten. I even have had a kitten and have faith me you do no longer prefer your kitten to have a ineffective mouse in her mouth so verify that in case you notice a mouse close to the kitten get the kitten faraway from it. poison additionally works the forged poison in case you could desire to call poison administration..

Yes, there are plenty of ''humane'' traps available, and it causes no harm to the mouse, and the dog cannot get caught in it.
Here's a picture of what I mean:

Plus, most likely, that lil' mouse is able to get onto your counters......you can always put the trap on the counters ,out of your dog's reach.
