It has been a few wks since he officially broke up with me after 4 years b/c he was unhappy... should i send a book da vinci code he always wanted to read (ordered on amazon for dirt cheap), and a plain card that just says happy bday... i won't wrap the present up, just send it in plain manila envelope. of course, i'm not gonna lie, i would at least hope he will say thank you, but even if he doesn't, i would feel i have done my part. at the same time, i don't want him to think this is another ploy to get him back.

I took the break up badly and I did ask him back before but he said he wants to be single, feels stress-free, tell me to not have hope, find another man. i haven't called him in a couple of weeks and don't plan to.

If you had to put your money on the possibility of him calling back or even think about getting back, would it more likely to happen if i didn't send him gift or card on his bday OR if i do send him gift on his bday? Plz answer this.

I really hate to say this, but honey his ship has sailed. He's done. You asked him back, which is fine, and he said no. That's it. He knows where you stand. If he wants to come back, he knows where to find you. I would not send the gift. It smacks of a ploy to get him back, even if it's not.

Show some dignity and let it be. I know its hard.

Do not send that book. It is over between the two of you. Move on with your life. It sounds to me like its time for you to realize it is over. He doesn't deserve the book and he can buy his own if he wants it that bad. So look at him for the loser that he is and get on with your life. You deserve better then this.

send it as an anonomous gift if you are that uncomfortable about him getting the wrong idea

I would send the gift and not have any contact with him after that. He is sending you a clear signal that he is not that into you, sorry. I would then move on, if it's meant to be it will be

Don't do it...you are going to look desperate if you do. He obviously has forgotten you...it's time to move on.

he's told you very clearly it's over, please move on for your own sake. he will not appreciate the gift, it will only make him resentful.

don't do it. buy yourself something nice instead.
