2y = 17
y = 17/2 = 8 1/2

2y =17
y = 17 / 2

5[3(y-1) / (5) + 4 = y]
(y-1) + 20 = 5y
y-1+20=5y
y+19=5y
y-5y=-19
-4y=-19
y=19/4
