UC-San Diego is one of the better public universities in the US. Their computer science program is excellent. This is the best university in San Diego by a wide margin.
The University of San Diego is a good private university (Catholic) and would not be a bad choice for a college.
San Diego State University is a well known college that is part of the CSU (California State University) system. The schools in the CSU system are not selective and are not very well respected. SDSU has a reputation as a party school -- and one of the worst academic reputations in the CSU system.
