I have windows XP, and my computer's about 3 years old. I'm usually just a console gamer so I have no idea what any of the specs mean. Gamespot says the specs for this game are: "We're told that the minimum system requirements are a 2GHz AMD or a 2.4GHz Intel single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an Nvidia 6600 or ATI X700 video card." I have no clue what they're talking about. We're can I check what stuff my comouter has? Are these parts expensive and high tech, or am I likely to have them?

That's your PC's specs. It has a 3.0Ghz Pentium, 512mb RAM and only SLOW integrated graphics that share (or steal) memory from system RAM.
You would need one more stick of 512mb DDR2-400/PC2-3400 RAM. You need to install a video card.
Cheap = Geforce 7300GT, 7600GS or ATI X1650 Pro
Better= ATI HD2600XT or Geforce 8600GT

If your computer is 3 years old then no you wont have them. The 1GB or ram is 1024 mb. Most computers that old only came with 128mb or if you were lucky 512mb. The way to upgrade is to buy a memory stick of 1GB they run around $60. The 2ghz or 2.4 ghz is the speed of your processor. This really is difficult to change. And the video card thats required does the pixel shading and stuff like that and they run about $250. Basically you can go get a pretty fast computer with the requirements for about $600 at a local Wal-Mart or Best Buy. You would easily spend this in upgrading your present computer.
