When we get over 50% recieving more benefits than they pay for...we will have crossed th point of NO RETURN and it is almost here.
Figures for 2006
Top 1% pay 34.27% of taxes
Top 5% pay 54.36 % of taxes
Top 10% pay 65.84% of taxes
Top 25% pay 83.88% of taxes
Top 50% pay 96.54% of taxes
Isn't that nice? The top 1% pay more than 1/3 of income taxes. And almost half of Americans pay no income taxes. I bet you that most of them are Democrats.
Welcome to Socialist America. Marx would be proud.

Unfortunately, I am pessimistic in regards to this question. People just don't understand that money doesn't grow on trees. Even though the Government has all those nice printing presses, special paper, and inks, they can't just print money and give it away, the value has to come from somewhere. At some point, those 1 to 5% richest are going to decide they are better off in Australia, Japan, or elsewhere. I see Hillary as the last big flush. If she is elected President, this country will be on a path inexorably down the toilet

Unfortunately I think your scenario will come sooner rather than later. I doubt even our economy can stand much more of this. :( At least gold will be a good investment for a long while, lol
I heard on talk radio a few weeks ago about some massive government waste going on in our county. Of course it wasn't reported in the regular news, from them we only hear that programs are underfunded and need more money. Every single tax hike that becomes a proposition gets passed by the voters, I think out here in CA those dependent on the government already make up a majority.

Your question is crammed with disinformation there no longer one actuality in it. I welcome you to united states of america. Ronald Regan didn’t triple the debt a super majority of democrats in congress did that no longer Ronald Regan i replaced into there. The president can’t spend a dime. Congress spends each and all the money. Regan submitted a balanced funds each year. Congress on no account even regarded at it. He vetoed many funds costs. Republicans did stability the cost selection 1999 and 2000 no longer the democrats. Clinton replaced into President. Oboma is submitting bloated budgets. each and every person talks approximately how are toddlers pays for all this deficit spending. I certainly have slightly information for you and everybody else, we are able to pay the bill. The bill will start to come again due this year and it will worsen in 2011 and in 2012. It doesn’t count what us of a you reside in while america economic gadget is going something of the international is going down with it. That’s no longer vanity it’s an financial actuality. on your profile you're saying you’re a Marxist. I certainly have additionally studied Liberals, progressives; Socialism, Communism, Nazism, Fascism and that i be attentive to Russian immigrants that got here here 18 years in the past basically after Russia collapsed, who lived decrease than communism. They tell me it replaced into relatively undesirable. Marx on no account figured interior the human ingredient or human nature. maximum folk have a opt to be loose. examine america shape, people have not got self assurance interior the Marxist gadget and could have not any area of it. The communist shape reads genuine quite however the promise of utopia on no account comes. the maths basically doesn’t artwork out. Communism fails once you run out of people to thieve from. If there’s no person to thieve from each and every person lives in extreme poverty. That’s the way it replaced into in Russia and china until they desperate to grow to be Capitalists. Then there economies took off and the common of residing greater via 500%. I didn’t make that up,

RLP points this dilemma out most succinctly...the gainfully unemployed are already sucking the financial life out of the working majority in this country. The socialist Democrats are incessantly patronizing and lying to the parasites in this country with their illusion of a Utopia of complacency and dependency. The liberals rant ad nauseum about "Lie this Lie that"...this is THE lie and the nerdowells are biting hook line and sinker. The greatest hypocrisy is the LIE that the socialist Democrats want to redistribute wealth from the "evil" rich when in fact all of the Democrat presidential candidates as well as the Democrat members of Congress are themselves members of that "evil" 1% of the wealthiest in this country.

Yet another Great question ...
I believe its a drive to Socialism,
Once the"Gimme mine" voter base out numbers the
"pay the bill crowd"..............Taxes will surly increase to the levels of Europe's tax base.
I believe it 10 - 15 years away, depending on variables,
such as a democratically elected Liberal president.
---------------------------------------------------
She will cite national health care, lowering the deficit and trade deficiencies that we currently are experiencing.
Satisfying the Global Warming Crowd and those who want
Stem Cell Research will also have to be factored in because they will receive a blank check on American taxpayers back.

It has already happened. Single taxpayers out number married taxpayers but guess who pays for the social services, taxes breaks and WIC checks they get? Singles. Remember all that breathless pandering and hyperbole about the "marriage penalty tax?" Now it's a singles penalty tax. How many government services do single, childless people get? Zero.

We hit it back during the Johnson administration. Fortunately Nixon repealed most of the hand-outs. We hit it prior to that when FDR was in office. Fortunately (?) WW II happened and depleted the numbers who'd have been collecting. Those that didn't die in the war, racked up quite a bill -- the likes of which due to it's perpetuity, we are STILL paying for. Notice how both Johnson and FDR were both democrats... See where this is going?

We're already there...the non-discretionary spending "entitlements" are what, 75% of the budget? More? We only have to wait for another few years of Baby Boomers to reach retirement and we are well and truely screwgied.
