So cliche, but it's Star Wars! The original, 1977, Episode IV Star Wars. I was 4 years old when I saw it, and I don't think it would have been my favorite if I were older at the time. Four is a pretty impressionable age. The film's influence is with me to this day. Because of it, I've taken an interest in film, history, culture, art, special effects, etc. For many years, I had a slight doubt about how important Star Wars was in my life, until 1997.
That year, the trilogy was re-released, and I took my little cousins to watch them in theaters. After the movie, the youngest one was doing her best impression of an X-Wing in the Death Star trench by careening through the hallway outside of the auditorium, making laser noises on her way to the restroom. If a movie can have that same effect 20 years later, then maybe I wasn't wrong in my choice.

Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life (1947)
Genre ~ Drama, Family, Fantasy, Romance
I love this movie because it has a storyline that never goes out of style. It is one of those "feel good" movies that shows how a person can be poor but still be rich because he/she has friends.
There were attempts several years ago to colorize this film and several attempts to update the storyline; however, the original B&W version is the best one of all ...

History of the World Part 1 because it is so satirical and clever. I love Mel Brooks.
I also love the original Star Wars Trilogy.

Pulp Fiction. Independent Gangster Drama. It's a perfect example of how all story lines should be put together in a film
