What stock seems like it is soon to split, or one that may make a huge splash around christmas or in the near future? Or just a good stock that usually is on the climb and neve falls to far down.

When you find out, can you let me know??? Stocks are hard to predict and everyone like myself has an opinion.

It depends on your risk profile (age, income, etc). Look at companies you are familiar with, and try to guess what the future will be like. Apple would have been a great stock pre-ipod. Stock investing is very hard and don't let anyone fool you into a 'sure thing'. Do your own research (investopedia.com and finance.google.com) and best of luck.

Oh since i do have to have an opinion, here are stocks i like: Mcdonald's Metlife and USEC

Great idea. Get investing advice from strangers whose qualifications and motives can never be known by you.

Good luck with that!

BTW: Stock splits mean nothing. The only people that follow stock splits are amateurs.

There was a study done with monkeys, kindergardners and stock brokers. kindergardners picked the stocks they knew: Disney, toys'r'us, etc. Stock brokers did it their way. Ststistics, etc. And the monkeys picked stocks by throwing darts at a wall.. long story short.... stock brokers came in last. monkeys second, and kindergardners came in first... Pick stocks you know of and buy products from.
