One of the major effects of growing up without a father, and I remind you everyone is different, is that woman have difficulty relating to men because they did not have a role model (and I mean a good role mode is necessary). Men sometimes develop to have skewed expectations concerning females and may develop a different idea of what a male role should be, which is not always bad.

It's obviously skewed toward having a father in the picture, which I don't always agree with (sometimes NO father is better than the ****** some people get stuck with) but http://www.fatherhood.org/ is a good one-stop shop for all of your daddy-issue needs.
