You don't have to remove them just make sure you mask the area properly because of the over-spray, go to the auto store and get a caliper paint kit, the paint is specific for calipers and won't peel off or fade like regular spray paint

You can safely paint them as long as you remove them off the brake rotor & remove the pads as well. You will have to clean them spotless, no grease, oil, brake fluid. Get a can or two of primer, couple cans of HIGH temprature spray paint in the color you want, spray a light coat of primer, let dry 5-10 min, and repeat this till you have a nice even coat. Same thing applies when adding your color coat. Let them dry overnight and your paint job will look good for a long time.

It would probably be a waste of time. Calipers get quite hot and quite dirty. If you must then get some high temp paint and be careful not to paint the piston area. Paint in spray cans can be obtained in high temp.

Yes, there is special brake calliper paint kits for doing this. Try halfords.

Paint will probably not stick. New calipers are coated with oil and they get very hot in use.

I would not advise painting ordinary callipers, besides everything else, they will look really rubbish in less than six months.

Buy performance, coloured callipers if that is what you want!

Don't try and make your cheap and cheerful standard callipers, look like performance ones.......buy performance ones if that is what you want; otherwise, leave well alone.

Do not paint brake calipers.....it may cause problems with heat build up...........but and if you insist on doing it use high temp paint.....but a word of warning is this may even cause braking problems......so consider it before you should attempt it..........
