There is a great little "cabin" hotel in Munds Park (very close to sedona) that is inexpensive...downtown sedona has lots of unique shops...

Yes the jeep tours are good, they have some violently pink ones which are amusing to look at. There is a ton of shopping, if you get a bit outside the touristy part of Sedona there are some crazy shops with some equally crazy hippies. There are also tons of really excellent hikes.

I don't live in Sedona, but i do live in Mesa, my sister in law is from Sedona though and she regularly goes up there to visit her grandmother.

I enjoy Slide Rock State park, hiking, walking around Telacapaci. Also, head up to Flagstaff; it's only 45 minutes north through oak creek canyon. It's a beautiful drive and you will find more to do. Good luck.

Couple museums, and Art studios, the red rocks are great nearby is Jerome an old mining town, go up oak creek canyon nice drive...
