I need to write out the net ionci equations for Na3PO4, KI, and AlCl3 when mixed with the Universal Indicator. I know how to do net ionic equations, but the problem is, i dont know what the chem. formula for UI is. Oh and I know that Na3PO4 is a base, KI is neutral, and AlCl3 is an acid. Thanks for the help!

I don't think you have to worry about the chemical formula for UI, just the three salts. (UI is a mixture, of mostly organic non-ionic compounds)

But if you are supposed to have all three in the same solution (which I doubt), then you have to be concerned about issues such as precipitation which would take some of the ions out of solution.
