if im like telling someone a telephone number or whatever i say "oh" but if im saying 0. 12567 fo example, i actually say "nought" lol...
occasionally i say zero though...

It looks like the zero to me, the number just to the right of the 9 on your keyboard. The "oh" is a letter of the alphabet and it's to the left of the "p" on your keyboard.

I always say zero because that eliminates any misinterpretation of what I'm saying.
You'd think that saying numbers would be pretty clear. However, one time, I had to get a number from a southern state. The operator gave me the number but I couldn't understand her when she said "niner." How did that come about?

both. when i speak freely i say zero. But when i am saying something such as a phone number i say 'oh'.
Examples:
2-4-1-oh-2-4-1 (241 pizza's phone number 241-0241)
or something like 3-6-7-double oh-double oh for the phone number 367-0000.
It really depends on the situation you are in.

It should be zero but a lot of people shorten it and say oh.
I think I say zero most of the time especially in the work place.
